Biography
The Lashes lineup consists of Ben Clark on vocals, Scotty Rickard and Eric Howk on guitar, Nate Mooter on bass, Mike Loggins on drums, and Jacob Hoffman on keyboards. Formed in Seattle during 2000, the group fuses punk rock drive with gleaming, fashionable power pop touches to produce a catchy, rhythm-oriented style. Their first outing arrived in 2003 as the Stupid Stupid EP on Lookout!. Sold-out dates supporting the Libertines and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists extended through 2004, leading the band to record their debut full-length with producer John Goodmanson, known for his work with Sleater-Kinney, Unwound, and Harvey Danger, before the year concluded. Columbia released the resulting album, Get It, in January 2006.
