Thrasher

During June and July of 1984, Combat, a leading American heavy metal label, sponsored an all-star recording session and brought in drummer Carl Canedy to compose and helm production for a complete album of original material. Teaming with guitarist Andy MacDonald, Canedy assembled the Thrasher project at Music America Studios in New York. The resulting roster included bassist Kenny Aaronson (Derringer/HSAS), vocalist Dickie Peterson (Blue Cheer), bassist Billy Sheehan (Talas), bassist Mars Cowling (Pat Travers Band), vocalist Maryann Scandiffio (Black Lace), guitarist Dan Spitz (Anthrax), guitarist Jack Starr (Virgin Steel), vocalist Rhett Forrester (Riot), guitarist Kim Simmonds (Savoy Brown), bassist Gary Bordonaro (Rods), plus additional singers James Rivera, Leslie Dunn and Jackie Kenyon.
