Biography
Born and raised in the industrial hub of Hamilton, Ontario, Canadian singer-songwriter Tom Swick developed his skills there during his youth. He has played bagpipes since his early teens and also commands the guitar, piano, and drums with equal ease. Intent on sidestepping work in the steel mills, the aspiring performer joined groups in his late teens, only to realize that a solo path offered stronger prospects in the music business. At a Warner Music Canada session he secured a deal by delivering an unscripted performance with his guitar inside the label offices. His first full-length release, Stalled Out in the Doorway, appeared in 2006.
