Formed by three siblings and rooted in Atlanta, the contemporary gospel trio V3 issued their debut album during 2006. LaToya, Sacha, and Shelley Vinson are the children of Thomas and Carolyn Vinson, who serve as pastors of High Point Christian Tabernacle in Smyrna, Georgia. The sisters began performing as youngsters and turned professional upon reaching young adulthood. Their earliest work consisted of session backing vocals; one such engagement, behind Damita (Haddon) Chandler, drew the interest of EMI Gospel. The imprint issued the group’s self-titled album that same year. After its appearance, V3 entered an open-ended break to devote time to family life and separate endeavors. They resurfaced in 2016 with the independently released album Alive.
