Zenttric

Zenttric came together in December 2005 after guitarist Mikel Otero and drummer Javi Moe started composing material in Bilbao, Spain. Singer Gutxi Bibang and bassist Jorge Murillo completed the roster in early 2006, allowing the group—whose name shortens the Spanish term “excéntrico” for “eccentric”—to post its energetic pop tracks on MySpace. The site quickly broadened the band’s reach past Bilbao, leading to an opening slot for the Rolling Stones at Anoeta Stadium in June 2007. Two years later Zenttric issued its self-titled debut album, which collected several nominations at the Spanish Music Awards and produced the popular single “Sólo Quiero Bailar.” Otero and Murillo exited before the band delivered its follow-up, Tripolar.
