An all-star hard rock and heavy metal outfit assembled from alumni of Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, and Alice Cooper, A New Revenge delivers a bruising brand of heavy rock that pulls influence from every corner of the style.
Keri Kelli—guitarist for Slash's Snakepit, Night Ranger, Vince Neil, and Alice Cooper—first sketched the idea for the project in 2013 while sharing a Russian tour bill with Scorpions and Kingdom Come drummer James Kottak. In 2014, vocalist Ripper Owens, whose résumé includes stints with Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen, and the Three Tremors, came aboard alongside bassist Rudy Sarzo, known for work with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Whitesnake, and the Guess Who. The newly formed ensemble soon began performing live, mixing together signature tracks drawn from each member’s previous bands. By 2019 the musicians had entered the studio to record original songs for their first full-length album; the resulting Enemies & Lovers appeared later that year on the Australian independent imprint Golden Robot.
