Acid Washed

The French electro duo Acid Washed, tied to the Record Makers imprint headquartered in Paris, entered the commercial recording arena in 2009. Richard d'Alpert and Andrew Claristidge, both operating out of the French capital, shaped the project while drawing from Chicago house, Detroit techno, Giorgio Moroder, and Death from Above. Following their signing to Record Makers, the pair issued their first official release, the 2009 EP General Motors, Detroit, America/Snake. Its title tracks later surfaced on the duo’s self-titled debut album, Acid Washed, which appeared in 2010. Alongside their original productions, Acid Washed supplied remixes for Sébastien Tellier, Eliza Doolittle, and additional artists.
