Aha Gazelle

William Gazelle Fields, Jr. records and performs under the name Aha Gazelle. The New Orleans, Louisiana native works as a rapper, producer, and songwriter whose sound draws heavily from local forebears such as Master P and Lil Wayne. His approach blends toughness with confidence and optimism, grounding lyrics in ordinary hardships while emphasizing hopeful outcomes. During his teenage years Fields played drums at his father’s church while also learning music production on his own. He later took on keyboard duties at additional congregations and began issuing rap mixtapes, the first of which was 2014’s Greenbeans & Tuna. Additional projects appeared over the following years and earned attention from various rap sites and blogs. After releasing 2016’s Trilliam he joined Atlanta-based Christian rap label Reach Records in early 2017, and Trilliam 2 appeared that June. Less than six months afterward they released Trillaim 3.
