Biography
Although YB delivers his rhymes in English, with a delivery that might suggest origins in New York’s Bronx borough aside from a few unusual inflections, the rapper actually hails from Denmark. Back in 1992, he put out his sole full-length project, the upbeat party-rap effort titled I Am What I Am. Over the course of his career, YB has collaborated with several prominent producers from his home country, such as Soulshock, Cutfather, and the Prunes, who previously recorded for Mo’ Wax. A portion of his output has also been credited to the alias Obi.
