Gabriel Alberto Azucena records and performs under the moniker Gawvi, functioning as a Christian electro-pop artist and producer whose input has defined the sonic identity of the prominent Reach Records imprint. His output fuses rap, pop, and dance elements around uplifting, self-affirming themes.

Azucena entered the world in the Bronx during 1988, spent his formative years in Miami, and absorbed Latin and Caribbean sounds throughout childhood. Production work began in 2008 under the alias G-Styles, where he collaborated with Trip Lee and Reach co-founder Lecrae. The label brought him on as official in-house producer in 2012, during which time he handled tracks for KB, Andy Mineo, and Tedashii. Numerous resulting projects registered strong placements not only on Billboard’s Christian and Gospel Albums tallies but also on the broader Billboard 200. Lecrae’s 2014 release Anomaly, to which Azucena contributed, became the first title to simultaneously claim the top spot on both the Billboard 200 and the Gospel Albums chart. Gawvi formalized his solo association with Reach Records in 2016 and prepared his first full-length project, We Belong, which arrived in March 2017. Panorama followed the next year and included guest spots from Aklesso, WHATUPRG, and Lecrae.
