Alyssa Reid

Canadian pop singer Alyssa Reid captured widespread attention in 2010 when her single “Alone Again” climbed the charts. The track reworked Heart’s 1997 hit “Alone” and featured rapper P. Reign. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, she started composing songs and attending vocal lessons before reaching double digits. By her late teens this self-taught guitarist and pianist had already drawn notice from her prospective label after posting a YouTube performance of Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl,” which led to studio sessions with several leading producers in today’s pop landscape. Wax Records issued her first full-length project, The Game, in summer 2011, where it climbed to number 25 on the Canadian albums chart.
