Tyler Shaw

Tyler Shaw, a Chinese-Canadian performer, producer, and screen talent, first surfaced in 2012 via the tuneful platinum-certified pop single “Kiss Goodnight,” then secured a Juno nod for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2014 just prior to unveiling his debut full-length, Yesterday, in 2015. The 2018 follow-up Intuition earned a Pop Album of the Year nomination at the 2019 Juno Awards. His self-titled third album arrived in 2021 and included the charting tracks “When You’re Gone” and “I See You.”

Vancouver-raised, Shaw scored his initial breakthrough in 2012 by taking first place in the MuchMusic Coca-Cola Covers Contest, a victory that lifted his debut single “Kiss Goodnight” high onto the Canadian pop charts. A subsequent contract with Sony Music Canada allowed him to develop his maiden album. Yesterday delivered several notable singles, among them “House of Cards” and “Wicked,” each certified gold. The Juno-nominated Intuition, released in 2018, achieved still greater commercial traction, as “To the Man Who Let Her Go” and “With You” both reached platinum status. Shaw issued “I See You” in August 2021 as the lead track from his third, self-titled album, which followed in October of that year.
