Biography
Born on April 11, 1986, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, as Ana Isabel Acevedo Avilés, the multifaceted performer Ana Isabelle launched her music career in 2007 after establishing herself as a singer, actress, and dancer from the island. Her screen debut came that year in the Héctor Lavoe biopic El Cantante, which starred Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. Later in 2007 she issued her first full-length solo album, Por el Amor, through La Calle Records; the project yielded the singles “Cuando No Estás,” “Quién Dijo Amigos?,” and “Dime.” The standout track, “Quién Dijo Amigos?,” written in part by Luis Fonsi, reached the Top 50 of the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart and benefited from a reggaetón remix featuring Rakim & Ken-Y, the latter of whom was linked romantically with Isabelle for a period. In 2008 she returned to film with a role in Talento de Barrio, headlined by Daddy Yankee.
