Detroit, MI's And Hell Followed With adopted a name that echoes a Johnny Cash tune, yet the band's technically intricate strain of extreme metalcore bears no further resemblance to the Man in Black aside from the shadowy tone of its sound. Formed in 2006, the lineup of vocalist Nick Holland, guitarists Kyle McIlmurray and Pat Hahn, bassist Andrew Tate, and drummer Billy Noffsinger began by seizing every available performance opportunity, which led to the release of their debut mini-album, Domain, in 2008. Despite largely unfavorable critical response and the subsequent departure of their original singer in favor of former Borland vocalist Ryan Caudill, the ensemble advanced by securing a deal with Earache Records for the mid-2010 follow-up Propioception.
