Biography
Andrea Tessa first stepped into the spotlight in 1979 as Chile’s entrant at the Viña del Mar Festival, delivering the Scottie Scott composition “Decir te Quiero.” A subsequent slot on the program Lunes Gala soon showcased her rendition of “Lost Love Concerto.” Thanks to her spontaneous and sparkling personality, she secured hosting duties on Estudio 26 and, in 1984, on Más Música, thereby becoming the first Chilean VJ. In 1989 the artist took an acting role in the soap opera Bravo, sharing scenes with Latin star Roberto Vander and local Bastián Bodenhofer. In 1994, following one of her priorities, Andrea Tessa recorded Páginas, an album produced by Juan Carlos Duque.
