Anne Trenning

Anne Trenning, an instrumental pianist, spent her childhood in Barrington, IL, where organ lessons began at age seven. Private piano study followed at twelve. Converse College awarded her a music scholarship, leading to a B.A. in music and history. Her post-college years included a 1987 move to Charlotte, NC, during which professional music activity ceased. Receipt of the family piano from her mother prompted a return to performance alongside the start of composition. A demo tape from that period reached David Lanz and contributed to the 1997 release of her debut album, Suite Tea. She subsequently served as artist-in-residence at the Morehead Inn, a historical landmark. Her second album, All One World, appeared on October 19, 2004.
