Biography
Forming the Southern rap duo B.A.M.A., or Boyz After Money Always, Brian "Taurus Caine" Morris and Darius "Rain" Lacey first crossed paths in 1997 as solo artists at Knight Crimes recording studio in Montgomery, AL. Their common roots as Alabama rappers facing scarce local prospects at the time created an immediate bond, yet they delayed uniting as B.A.M.A. for several years until the American South emerged as a fertile scene for rising rappers. Their major-label debut arrived in late 2004 through the single Sweet Home Al, a tribute to their home state that incorporates elements of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama."
