Biography
Benedictum, a heavy metal quartet formed in San Diego by vocalist Veronica Freeman and guitarist Pete Wells, issued its debut album Uncreation in 2006. The pair had already collaborated in Malady before enlisting Blackie Sanchez and Chris Morgan to complete the initial roster and lay down the demo that secured a contract with Locomotive Records and ultimately produced that first full-length release. Following the album’s arrival, the group embarked on tours across North America and Europe while undergoing several personnel shifts. These adjustments produced a revised configuration that retained Freeman and Wells alongside keyboardist Chris Morgan, with Jesse Wright on bass and Paul Courtois on drums, prompting further studio work in 2007. The band then delivered its sophomore effort, Seasons of Tragedy, in 2008.
