Biography
Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Justin Benlolo, Los Angeles-based BRKN LOVE deliver a timeless style of gritty, high-octane rock & roll shaped by influences that stretch from Led Zeppelin and Soundgarden to the present-day Royal Blood.
Raised in Toronto, the music-obsessed Benlolo discovered his path at a young age. He left school at 16 and headed to New York in hopes of living out his rock & roll ambitions. Several gritty years of songwriting, rehearsal, and networking followed before he relocated to L.A., where opportunities finally started to open up. Recording under the BRKN LOVE banner, he produced a batch of demos that caught the ear of producer Joel Hamilton. The pair developed a full album’s worth of material, and after a showcase performance with a complete lineup in New York, the band secured a deal with Spinefarm Records. Ahead of the album’s arrival, they released their first single, “Shot Down,” in early 2019.
