Brooks Buford

Brooks Buford, a rapper who openly admitted to a dissolute past, endured a complete cycle of substance abuse in his youth, turning alcoholic by age 12, developing a crack habit by 15, and entering rehab at 17. He first attracted attention as one half of the Southern rap duo Rehab. Their 2000 debut album, Southern Discomfort, yielded the Top 20 single "It Don't Matter" and was followed by a year of prominent live dates. Buford next secured a solo contract with Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def imprint, and his own debut, Straight Outta Rehab, appeared in August 2003.
