Biography
Originating from Germany, Cherona is a children's pop band whose first appearance took place in 2009 via a partnership with the television station Super RTL. Established that year in Cologne, Germany, the group consists of vocalists Vicky Chassioti (born August 12, 1991), David Petters (born July 24, 1986), Milla Chernysheva (born December 1, 1983), and Enrico Yakubu Bade (born November 2, 1987). The act entered the commercial market in 2009 through the single "Ching Chang Chong," which led off the full-length album Sound of Cherona, issued in conjunction with Sony Music. Filled with English-language material directed at children, Sound of Cherona found favor across the German-language world, landing in the Top Ten on the albums chart in Austria, the Top 20 in Germany, and the Top 30 in Switzerland. The band followed "Ching Chang Chong" by releasing the single "Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song."
