Cinematic Sunrise

Cinematic Sunrise emerged as a side project among Chiodos members, with punk-pop/emo vocalist Craig Owens and keyboardist Bradley Bell forming the band specifically to pursue a brighter, more cheerful direction that diverged from their main group's idiom. Owens first assembled participants from his Michigan hometown, among them guitarist Bryan Beeler, though repeated lineup shifts ultimately left Beeler as the sole survivor of that original Detroit-area group. Bassist Marcus Vankirk and drummer Dave Shapiro later completed the lineup, allowing the ensemble to issue its debut EP, A Coloring Storybook and Long Playing Record, in 2008.
