Originating from California, Claire Rosinkranz crafts lo-fi indie pop defined by introspective and often tongue-in-cheek lyrics alongside her gentle, inviting vocals. Listeners first encountered her work through the lively Beverly Hills Boyfriend EP that surfaced in 2020. The 2021 follow-up EP 6 of a Billion contained the popular cuts "Frankenstein" and "Hotel," while the 2022 standalone releases "i h8 that i still feel bad for u" and "Stuck On Us" built anticipation for her first proper album, Just Because, which appeared the following year.

Born in California in 2004, she was immersed in music from childhood as the daughter of producer Ragnar Rosinkranz. Educated at home, she started composing songs near age eight and went on to pick up piano, guitar, and ukulele. In her teens she began capturing her material in a domestic setting, pulling from wide-ranging touchstones that encompassed the Beatles, Jack Johnson, and Frank Ocean. She soon shared those songs online and performed them across social platforms, steadily attracting listeners.

Her debut EP Beverly Hills Boyfriend arrived in 2020 and featured the breakout track "Backyard Boyfriend." The independent single "Real Life" followed in April 2021, with the EP 6 of a Billion arriving later that year. She opened 2022 by issuing the wry singles "i h8 that i still feel bad for u" and "Stuck On Us," the latter a collaboration with social media pop figure Aiden Bissett. May 2023 brought her full-length debut Just Because, which paired production from her father with contributions from Afterhrs, Paul Phamous, Stint, and Elie Rizk while spotlighting the singles "Sad in Hawaii," "123," and "Never Goes Away."
