Corciolli, a Brazilian composer, keyboardist, and producer, has earned acclaim for his innovative fusion of ambient soundscapes, progressive classical forms, and richly textured orchestral works. After establishing his own Azul Music imprint and introducing his debut recording All That Binds Us in 1993, he cultivated a devoted audience. His catalog reflects wide-ranging curiosity, encompassing sacred Tibetan traditions, Gregorian chants, and progressive rock while integrating African, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian elements with European lineages, as heard on the 2019 album Imaginary Brazil. Additional projects include contemporary classical pieces such as the 2021 solo piano album Silent Worlds, numerous concept-driven new age recordings, and original scores for film and television.

Born in 1968 in São Paulo, Corciolli began piano lessons during his teenage years, absorbing classical repertoire together with pop idioms, harmonic principles, and improvisational methods. He joined multiple bands and solo ventures while exploring jazz and characteristic South American idioms including bossa nova. Upon acquiring his first synthesizer, a Roland Juno-106, he performed at numerous festivals with countless rock and instrumental alternative acts from São Paulo such as Banda Azo and Celso Pixinga. As part of the group Espírito Cigano he toured extensively across Brazil, yet departed after eight months to concentrate fully on his solo path. Following graduation in architecture he launched the Brazilian label Azul Music in 1993 and released his first solo album, All That Binds Us. He also issued recordings by other artists and received the Sharp Award along with the Internacional Award Design for his contributions to Ed Ribeiro Lima’s 1994 album Girassol.

In addition, he assembled compilations for several Brazilian periodicals including Isto É, Planeta, Planeta Nova Era, and snf AudioNews, among further outlets. In 1995 Corciolli released Unio Mystica, a collaboration with soprano Adriana Mezzadri that investigated Gregorian chants and Middle Eastern sonorities. The album received the Blessing of Pope John Paul II, drawing heightened attention throughout Europe. During 1996 he appeared at Memorial da América Latina and recorded with the Tibetan Monks of Gaden Shartse, merging sacred Buddhist chants with Western music; the results appeared on the 1997 album The New Moon of the East. He further contributed to the compilation The Healing alongside Vangelis, Kitaro, and Enigma, among additional artists, and saw his Tudo Azul series issued in the Ukraine and Russia.

Corciolli continued probing orchestral and new age palettes through releases such as 2009’s Lightwalk and 2015’s Infinito, while 2017’s Ilusia ventured into symphonic progressive rock. He also entered soundtrack work, scoring documentary programs as well as films including 2011’s O Filme Dos Espíritos and 2018’s Tais & Taiane. In 2019 he synthesized his diverse influences on Imaginary Brazil, writing for piano, violin, and cello with a large orchestra. Futura, recorded with Italian violinist Emmanuele Baldini, appeared in 2020, and Corciolli’s solo piano album Silent Worlds followed in 2021.
