Formed in their modest Welsh village of origin, CVC—short for Church Village Collective—first surfaced in 2020, delivering a concise vintage style anchored in bright indie pop and ringing psychedelic rock. The musicians list Snoop Dogg, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Super Furry Animals, and Red Hot Chili Peppers among their touchstones. Francesco Orsi fronts the group on lead vocals, joined by bassist Ben Thorne, drummer Tom Fry, keyboardist Daniel Jones, and guitarists David Bassey and Elliot Bradfield. CVC moved swiftly to cement a reputation across South Wales through commanding stage shows. Their first EP, Real to Reel, arrived in 2022, while the album Get Real followed in 2023 and contained the streaming successes “Sophie” and “Good Morning Vietnam.”
