David Vendetta

David Vendetta, the Paris-based DJ, producer, and remixer who earned a 2007 NRJ DJ of the Year nomination, first drew notice in 2002 via the maxi-single “No Sex,” which appeared only two years after he chose to pursue DJ work. In 2004 he partnered with Roger Sanchez and started remixing multiple tracks for the Stealth label. Even larger success arrived with the 2006 release “Love to Love You Baby,” built around samples from Donna Summer’s original hit. Vendetta also issued the Mediterranean-tinged Ibiza Para la Musica, which showcased vocalist Akram Sedkaoui. The 2007 album Rendez-Vous likewise performed strongly, climbing into the Top 20 on the French album charts.
