The alternative R&B pair dvsn crafts intoxicating, languid tracks. Linked to Drake through OVO Sound, the imprint has issued three projects from the act: Sept. 5th in 2016, Morning After which landed in the Canadian Top 20 during 2017, and A Muse in Her Feelings from 2020 that involved multiple contributors. A joint release with California artist Ty Dolla $ign, Cheers to the Best Memories, came out in 2021.

Although members of the Toronto scene surrounding Drake tended to guard personal details, songwriting attributions on Sept. 5th consistently pointed to producer Paul Jefferies, recognized as the Grammy-nominated Nineteen85, alongside vocalist Daniel Daley.

The debut arrived digitally in April 2016 via Drake's Warner-backed OVO Sound label, coinciding with their appearance on the track "Faithful" by Drake, and it charted at position 69 in Canada while reaching number 17 on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums tally. Several singles, with "Think About Me" emerging in May 2017, paved the way for Morning After five months afterward, hitting number 19 north of the border. Late that year saw contributions to recordings by labelmates Majid Jordan on "My Imagination" and Roy Woods on "Balance." July 2019 brought the pair "Miss Me?" along with "In Between." Their next album, A Muse in Her Feelings, followed in April of the subsequent year and, in contrast to earlier efforts, incorporated appearances from PartyNextDoor, Ty Dolla $ign, Summer Walker, and Jessie Reyez, entering the Billboard Top R&B Albums survey at number five.

Further work alongside the featured Ty Dolla $ign produced the complete joint album Cheers to the Best Memories, issued during summer 2021 and attaining the fifteenth spot on the R&B chart. An independent single titled "If I Get Caught" surfaced in July 2022.
