Biography
With more than a decade of experience in the industry, Tejano vocalist Elsa Garcia distinguishes herself by handling production and arrangement duties on her recordings in addition to singing and performing, establishing her as the only woman to produce albums within Tejano music. Early in her professional journey she captured her hallmark track, "La Luna." As the offspring of vocalist Hermelinda Escamilla, who performed under the moniker Linda La Nortena and shared stages with acts like Las Hermanas Huerta and Vicente Fernandez, Garcia entered the field after pursuing varied occupations such as radio deejay, accountant, and banker, along with moderating a personal radio discussion program.
