Extermination Dismemberment emerged as a quartet delivering brutal, slamming death metal characterized by chugging riffs, guttural vocals, and pounding drums. Their initial output arrived in 2010 via the album Butcher Basement, followed three years afterward by the well-received second record Serial Urbicide. After undergoing personnel shifts and dedicating time to crafting fresh material, the band waited a decade before unveiling their third full-length effort, Dehumanization Protocol, in 2023.

Originating from Minsk in Belarus, the group came together in 2009 when guitarist Arseniy Kovalchuk and vocalist Valeriy Kozhemyako began collaborating on songs. They soon completed the roster by bringing in bassist Viktor Kanashevich and drummer Vladislav Martirosov. Specializing in a brutal death metal style marked by extreme vocals, thick guitar riffs, and thumping double-time drums, the outfit committed their first album to tape after only twelve months. Released that same year on the Ukrainian metal imprint Imbecil Entertainment, Butcher Basement established the band among Belarus’s most extreme acts, leading to live performances throughout Eastern Europe. In 2013, they put out Serial Urbicide through the Japanese label Amputated Vein, earning favorable notices in both Europe and the United States. Following Kozhemyako’s departure in 2016, and after several fruitless tryouts for a replacement singer, Martirosov assumed vocal duties while Denis Poluyan joined on drums. The revised configuration performed a selection of concerts in Europe, yet new recordings did not surface until 2021 with the single “Protonemesis,” marking their debut release for Unique Leader. Additional tracks appeared subsequently, culminating in the long-anticipated third album Dehumanization Protocol during 2023.
