Biography

Born in Essex, England, alleged former tax inspector Felix carved out a reputation as a UK house artist by cultivating an air of mystery through his refusal to speak with journalists or feature in his own videos. His decision to accept an award at the DMC ceremony while wearing a lion suit only reinforced that elusive quality. The enormous reach of singles such as ‘Don’t You Want Me’ and ‘It Will Make Me Crazy’ nevertheless eroded any hope of true anonymity, as the two tracks together moved nearly two million copies worldwide. Both releases anticipated the later surge of trance and hard house.
