Biography
Forever JONES functions as an authentic family unit in gospel pop, built around Dewitt Jones III and Kim Jones together with their five children. Dewitt and Kim, each raised in musical homes, began touring, performing, and composing as teenagers in Washington State. Their offspring add considerable skill, drive, and ability: songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist D’Jeniele Hooten; singer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist Dominique Jones; singer Mya Jones; plus Dewitt Jones IV on bass and Judah Jones on drums. The ensemble’s lively fusion of gospel, pop, R&B, and soul secured forever JONES a management contract with Jeoffrey Benward, who then connected the band with producer Tommy Sims. Sims handled production on the debut album Get Ready, issued by EMI Gospel in 2010. Two years afterward, in 2012, EMI Gospel released the follow-up Musical Revival.
