Biography
Hailing from Chicago, Frank Leone functions as a versatile creator, producer, and filmmaker who applies an expansive vision to present-day pop, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. In the mid-2010s he developed his dense, muted sonic approach by singing, rhyming, and crafting beats from his bedroom, regularly teaming with figures such as Monster Mike, Gary Wilson, Sudan Archives, and Teardrop Estates. His enveloping sonic worlds turned bolder, more introspective, and more emotionally open during the 2020s, as heard on projects including Sundrop (2021), Don't (2021), and Fish (2024) that drew parallels to Foushee, Deem Spencer, and the Internet.
