Biography
Hailing from the modest Ohio community of Pettisville, the sibling folk trio Girl Named Tom—made up of Caleb, Joshua, and Bekah Liechty—first gained wide attention in 2021 by claiming victory on season 21 of The Voice. Their debut EP, Another World, arrived in 2019, with the covers collection Hits from the Road following in early 2021. That same year the group auditioned for the reality competition using Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s “Helplessly Hoping,” earning turns from every coach before selecting Kelly Clarkson’s team. Throughout the season their performances of “Wichita Lineman,” “River,” “The Chain,” and “Dust in the Wind” showcased the rich, familial harmonies and sincere delivery that defined their run. Ultimately they secured the win, becoming the first group in the show’s history to do so, and promptly signed with Republic Records. The label issued their holiday single “No Snow for Christmas” the day after the finale, and the track later featured on the full-length seasonal album One More Christmas, released in November 2022.
