Biography
Gran Bel Fisher derived his stage name from the moniker he believed had belonged to his great-great-grandfather, though it was in fact Granville Fisher Littleton. As a teenager he left his native Sabina, OH, for Cincinnati to enroll at the local performing arts school. His journey later carried him to Los Angeles, where a chance meeting at a party introduced him to producer Dave Bassett. The pair formed an immediate musical bond that yielded demo recordings of several Fisher songs within days. Following a lone showcase at the Viper Room, the artist secured a deal with Hollywood Records in 2005, and his debut album, Full Moon Cigarette, appeared the next year.
