Biography
In 2003 Hitman Sammy Sam notched a novelty success with “Step Daddy,” a lighthearted dance-rap reworking of “Double Dutch Bus” that poked fun at the scant respect afforded stepfathers. Capitalizing on the single’s strong regional traction across the South, especially in Sammy Sam’s native Atlanta, Universal Records signed the Hitman and issued his debut full-length, The Step Daddy.
