Experimental R&B vocalist Ian Isiah fuses delicate falsetto singing with fresh studio techniques, weaving elements of austere electronica into his provocative tracks about intimacy, romance, and after-hours scenes. His initial mixtape created an immediate impact upon arrival in 2013, after which he cultivated an expansive online audience drawn to both his recordings and his sharp sense of style. Subsequent output included polished projects such as the 2020 release Auntie.
Born in Brooklyn during 1989, Ian Isiah sang with gospel ensembles in his youth and later took the stage alone at open-mic events as a late teenager. The Love Champion, his debut mixtape, appeared in 2013 and offered early exposure to his singular method of crafting R&B material while showcasing contributions from Le1f and Mykki Blanco. Over the following half-decade he maintained a lower profile, dropping intermittent singles and joining other artists sporadically on recordings by the likes of Blood Orange and Yves Tumor.
