Biography
Formed in 2001, Greek heavy metal band Inactive Messiah began with bassist Lefteris, drummer Catherine, and keyboardist Christos at its foundation. Their opening demo tape, "Womb of Maggots," bore the group's name from that era. The pattern continued on the next year's debut full-length, Life Odium, which brought guitarist Dimitris and vocalist Mineiro into the fold. Their presence widened the creative scope and forced a change to the broader Inactive Messiah identity to escape narrow classification. Shows alongside fellow Greek acts such as Septic Flesh and Rotting Christ came next. After securing a contract with Black Lotus Records and adding second guitarist Thanos, the band signaled its official return through the self-titled Inactive Messiah LP in 2004, whose sound delivered a compact, listener-friendly blend of modern death and nu-metal.
