Biography
Infinity Girl fuse emotional songcraft with searing guitar textures to produce a shoegaze sound defined by its lean immediacy rather than layers of effects, aligning more closely with Swirlies than with My Bloody Valentine and favoring the approach heard on Isn’t Anything over that of Loveless. Nolan Eley, Kyle Oppenheimer, Mitchell Stewart, and Sebastian Modak formed the quartet in Boston during 2012; they issued their first album, Stop Being on My Side, themselves and followed it almost at once with the EP Just Like Lovers. Over the ensuing years the band accumulated live dates before moving operations to Brooklyn, where Topshelf Records signed them in 2015 and issued their sophomore LP, Harm.
