Jakubi, hailing from Melbourne, Australia, channels uplifting energy through pop-rap as a crew built largely around family ties—two brothers, two cousins, and one additional friend. Their entry onto the scene arrived in 2013 via online uploads of the singles "Can't Afford It All" and "Holiday." The year 2014 brought tours spanning Australia, Canada, and the U.S., plus the launch of "Couch Potato," a track later reissued in 2015 by the major label Epic.
