Dutch producer Jarreau Vandal spent his childhood in Amsterdam surrounded by a rich musical atmosphere that exposed him from the outset to the dynamic currents of '90s hip-hop and alternative rock. Bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jamiroquai captured his attention first, leading him to envision a future as a drummer. Everything changed at sixteen when his grandfather, a producer, opened the door to electronic music tools, prompting an immediate pivot toward crafting tracks on his computer. While holding down roles as a promoter and DJ across Amsterdam, he set about forging an individual sound that wove together his broad range of influences. The original tracks and remixes he created eventually drew the interest of L.A. label Soulection, which put out his debut EP in 2014. He returned the next year with the Suburb Superhero EP. In 2017 he released several singles, among them "Murder" and "Someone That You Love," plus the mixtape Vandalized Edits, Vol. III.
