Biography
Jimmy Levy, an R&B vocalist from Florida, first drew attention as a social media influencer who posted videos across multiple platforms and worked with Miami-based artists including rapper XXXTentacion and singer Nitti Gritti. After a successful 2020 audition, he advanced several rounds on the eighteenth season of American Idol before his elimination. National visibility soon translated into recordings that advanced his political and religious perspectives, beginning with the 2021 Hi-Rez collaborations “This Is a War” and “Welcome to the Revolution.” Levy maintained that trajectory the following year on the Billboard-charting “Take the Lead” and two further Hi-Rez tracks, “God Over Government” and “Faith Over Fear.” In 2023 he appeared on Forgiato Blow’s chart-topping “Boycott Target,” a protest against the retailer’s LGBTQ-positive clothing line, and in 2024 he released the anti-immigration song “The America I Know” with rap collective Trump Latinos.
