Originating from New Mexico, Josh Grider has pledged his loyalty to the rugged, weathered country sound tied to his chosen home of Texas. Burnished ballads and smoothly flowing melodies come naturally to him, marked by an easygoing approach that surfaced across independent releases and helped cultivate a regional audience during the 2010s.

Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, he took up music in childhood. Jazz guitar filled his high-school years, and classical voice became his focus at college, yet country claimed his attention once he began performing professionally in his early twenties. Southwest Texas became his training ground, where he absorbed the Lone Star State’s country customs. His self-titled debut appeared in 2005, followed by steady activity over the next five years that included the 2007 release of Million Miles to Go before he moved to Nashville in 2011.

Traction increased in 2012 through the live album Live at Billy Bob's Texas and the Gettin' There EP, paired with an appearance on the Troubadour TX television series. His third studio album, Luck & Desire, arrived in 2014. The Brokedown EP came out in 2015, and he returned late in 2017 with the single “Good People,” the first track from his fourth album.
