Biography
Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, country singer-songwriter JT Hodges developed an innate connection to music through his upbringing, where his parents—both active musicians fronting their own ensemble—ran the professional recording facility Buffalo Sound Studios, hosting sessions that featured everyone from Michael Bolton to T-Bone Burnett and additional artists. Immersed in that environment from childhood, he absorbed the full spectrum of studio operations, extending even to routine janitorial tasks. Following his graduation from Texas Christian University, Hodges relocated to Los Angeles and devoted several years to performing on the local coffeehouse circuit. After marrying, he and his wife settled in Nashville during 2009. By spring 2010 he secured a recording contract with Toby Keith’s Show Dog-Universal Music imprint, which issued the debut single “Hunt You Down” in mid-2011 and the self-titled album JT Hodges the following year.
