Originally from Zimbabwe, singer and songwriter Kelvin Jones relocated to the United Kingdom at the age of nine after his parents settled in Hertfordshire. Five years after first picking up the guitar and studying B.B. King covers, Jones began attracting notice in 2014 by posting a YouTube clip of his own track "Call Me Home." The video reached Reddit, where researchers for ABC's Good Morning America spotted it; once aired, the song accumulated more than a million views inside twenty-four hours. He then quit his civil engineering program at university, to his parents' dismay, yet the decision brought interest from major labels and a contract with Epic before the year closed. In 2015 Jones shifted to Berlin to lay down his debut album, and the support of a full band finally allowed him to capture the pop, blues, and soul fusion he had envisioned. Late that year a fresh studio version of the original YouTube single "Call Me Home" appeared, with the album Stop the Moment following in early 2016.
