Biography
Quentin Beauvois, the French musician and producer behind the indie electronic/chillwave project Kidswaste, first experimented with electronic music at age 15 by uploading tracks to SoundCloud under his own surname. Adoption of the Kidswaste alias arrived in 2015, framing his output of sensual, shimmering soundscapes and occasional remixes for other artists. A string of singles and collaborations then led to the early-2017 arrival of his debut EP, Spleen, a five-song collection featuring Chelsea Cutler, Khai, and TRACE. Beauvois partnered with Sophie Simmons the next year on the single “Beautiful Life,” before issuing the driving “Sleeping Pills” in 2019 with KOLE supplying vocals.
