Wingtip serves as the creative vehicle for Nick Perloff-Giles, a singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ raised in San Francisco and now based in Brooklyn. His uplifting and often buoyant brand of pop has generated streaming successes, among them the 2017 collaboration with Sophie Strauss on “Rewind” and the 2019 release “Heartworks.” After issuing his second EP, All Your Friends Are Here, in 2020, Wingtip followed with the popular single “Bored” the next year.

Perloff-Giles first developed his skills under the name Flaxo before returning in 2015 as Wingtip with a more soulful, organic-leaning approach that blends pop, indie, electro, and disco. Early tracks such as “Better,” “Eventually,” and “Missing You” quickly drew attention, securing praise from Neon Gold and leading to a deal with Republic/Casablanca Records. The 2017 Sophie Strauss collaboration “Rewind” amassed millions of streams, while festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Life Is Beautiful, and Electric Forest accompanied the summer-anthem single “Walls.” Additional partnerships, including “Cross Your Mind” with morgxn, preceded the 2018 debut EP Ghosts of Youth, whose streaming hit “Pavement” further expanded his reach. The bouncy love song “Heartworks” arrived among his 2019 offerings, and 2020 brought further releases such as “Demon” and “Strangers” alongside the EP All Your Friends Are Here. Into 2021 Wingtip maintained momentum with tracks including “Bored” and “Hope They Love You.”
