Evan Giia has built her reputation as a vocalist by supplying rich, soaring melodies and memorable hooks across numerous house and EDM productions. Among her key partnerships in the field are those with MEMBA on “Heat of the Moment” and “For Aisha,” Gorgon City on “Burning,” and Dillon Francis on “Don’t Let Me Let Go.”

Raised in Hingham, Massachusetts, Evan Giarrussa devoted her early years to musical-theater performances and opera studies. After concluding that those paths felt restrictive, she earned a business degree from the Berklee College of Music, later working as a receptionist at Sterling Sound Studios in New York before committing fully to vocal work with dance-music artists. The move aligned with prior experience: her future husband, Ishaan Chaudhary of the electronic duo MEMBA, enlisted her for the 2016 single “Heat of the Moment,” which marked her first credited appearance and earned single-of-the-week honors from BBC Radio One.

Steady output followed, highlighted by her 2018 solo release “WESTWORLD” on Foreign Family Collective, the label founded by Odesza. In 2019 she rejoined MEMBA for “For Aisha,” a track tied to the Indian film The Sky is Pink, a biopic centered on Aisha Chaudhary, Ishaan’s brother, the teenage motivational speaker who succumbed to pulmonary fibrosis in 2015. That year also brought Giia’s signing to Astralwerks, which issued the singles “Encore” and “Sidelines” in 2019, “Focus” in 2020, the Gorgon City collaboration “Burning” (a Top 10 entry on Billboard’s dance chart), and the 2022 EP ENDORPHINS.

Another streaming breakthrough arrived in 2022 via “Don’t Let Me Let Go,” a joint effort with Dillon Francis and ILLENIUM. Later that year Giia returned to independent status, issuing “Down to Earth” and “Swim” in 2023 followed by “Talking Walls” in 2024.
