Lùnapop

Formed initially as Senza Filtro in 1997, the Italian pop/rock band Lùnapop adopted their current name two years afterward. Their first concert appearance occurred at the San Marino Festival, where they presented the track "Qualcosa di Grande," an event that led directly to a contract with Universal International and the subsequent issues of "50 Special" and "Un Giorno Migliore." The group later gained entry to the prestigious San Remo Festival, performing the number "Mary Sedutta in un Pub." Issued in December 1999, the album ...Squérez? advanced into the local Top Ten by March 2000. One year afterward, Lùnapop collected four Italian Music Awards.
