Biography
Atlanta-born gospel singer LaShun Pace made her initial appearance in the mid-'70s alongside her siblings as part of the Anointed Pace Sisters. Her abilities in both performance and ministry deepened during tours alongside the Rev. Gene Martin and the Action Revival Team. In 1998 she cut the album In the House of the Lord with Dr. Jonathan Greer and the Cathedral of Faith Choirs, issued on Savoy Records. The same label soon offered her a solo contract, resulting in the 1990 debut He Lives, which climbed to number two on the Billboard gospel charts; its successor, Shekinah Glory, followed in 1993. Three years after that release came Wealthy Place, and further projects such as 1998’s Just Because God Said It continued to appear. Pace also pursued acting, most visibly portraying the Angel of Mercy in the 1992 Steve Martin feature Leap of Faith. LaShun Pace died on March 21, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia due to organ failure; she was 60 years old.
