Laurence Jalbert

Born in 1959 under the name Lise Jalbert, singer/songwriter Laurence Jalbert launched her career in the mid-eighties as a member of Volt. The group managed only a single release before she moved ahead on her own, issuing the self-titled Laurence Jalbert as her debut solo album in 1990. Corridors, which arrived in 1993, outperformed that first effort commercially and earned a Felix Award for rock/pop album of the year. A greatest-hits collection appeared in 2004, and with the arrival of Tout Porte À Croire in 2007 Jalbert had issued nearly ten full-length recordings.
